It is very light wood, as expected, which allows it to hang on daintier tree branches. It looks exactly like the photos except for a little white on one edge that is barely noticeable. A very close approximation of the Rhode Island Red hens that my son bought this spring to provide eggs for the family. Great way to remember 2022! Thank you for the lovely ornament.
